Partners Patte and Ted Mulcahey formed Bristal Design Group, Inc. in the fall of 1995. The strengths of the partners have combined to produce an interior design firm with the sensitivities to balance the needs of the client with both appropriate and stylish design.

Their philosophy recognizes that successful projets are the result of good chemistry and great teamwork. Acknowledging the need for a full service approach to interior design challenges, Bristal Design is able to supply a complete package of interior solutions from programming through the design process, including construction administration. FF&E specification and procurement including art and antique curation are offered as well.

Their design combines attention to detail and commitment to the harmony of architectural elements using timeless color and materials.

Patte Mulcahey has honed her design skills with successful projects in the Pacific Northwest and throughout the country for over twenty-five years. She has spent her entire career in the field of interior design. After completing her education at the University of Washington, she was employed as lead designer with several architectural firms in the Seattle area and then moved on to serve as director of Design with a prominent local firm. Her years of design experience culminated in the partnership with Ted Mulcahey and formation of Bristal Design Group. Patte is a founding member of IIDA and is recognized nationally for her expertise in commercial and hospitality design.

She has been published in both Interior Design Magazine and Hospitality Design Magazine and her work at the Broadmoor Golf Club and The Spa at the Salish Lodge have received international praise. Her primary reponsibilities at the firm are marketing, project management and interior design.

Ted Mulcahey's management, marketing, interior design and purchasing abilities have been tested in a number of challenging positions within the Interior Design Industry for the past twenty-five years. He served in several marketing and sales management positions with Interface Flooring Systems. Ted's design background is comprised of his design/build experience in new construction and remodels of high end residential projects. His ownership of a commercial casework company coupled with his role as developer and producer of a high end line of occasional tables have seasoned his design aibilities and helped inspire the partnership and creation of the Bristal Design Group.

Ted graduated from the University of Rhode Island. He has served as an interior finishes and procurement consultant to firms such as Microsoft and Nintendo. His primary responsibilities at the firm are marketing, procurement, project/construction management and interior design.
